ABOUT US Our Story

Obi-Kwankwaso National Women’s Support Group was established by women passionately inspired by the desperate need for a better Nigeria. We were enthused by our Principals H.E. Peter Obi and H.E. Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, whose ideals of democratic governance, inclusive leadership, social justice, national unity and responsible public service aligned with our own. We are united by a shared desire to support their vision and aspirations for a productive and prosperous new Nigeria.

Vision

To build a united and influential truly national network of women committed to advancing the ideals and growth of a productive and prosperous Nigeria. We are proud to showcase how our network cut across ethnic and religious lines.

Meet Hon Barr (Mrs) Anwuli Ogbechi Convener / National Coordinator

Hon. Barr. Anwuli Ogbechi

Political Leader | Convener, Obi-Kwankwaso National Women’s Support Group
Hon. Barr. Anwuli Ogbechi — accomplished, dedicated political leader, legal & property professional, and published author.
A dynamic former Delta State House of Assembly aspirant, she made a striking “pole vault” entry into politics. Choosing peace over personal ambition, she stepped down after securing the PDP ticket to serve as Executive Board Member, driving women’s empowerment across Delta North, child welfare through environmental initiatives, and support for motherless babies’ homes.
With management experience across UK & Nigeria, she earned broad recognition for leadership within Otu Ohaza, Ahaba’s parliamentary body. Deeply active in national politics, she founded the Obi-Kwankwaso National Women’s Support Group, championing Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso for transformative leadership.
Her background spans law, property, contract management and organisational development — founder of a successful UK high-street property agency, leading across public and private sectors.
Her leadership is rooted in governance, truth, integrity, equality, fairness, and religious harmony. She believes every woman and young person should learn, thrive and lead — regardless of gender, age, faith or background — and works to advance empowerment, enterprise, innovation and health as foundations of national progress.
“Good leadership should create opportunity, protect dignity, serve the people, and leave society better than it was found.”
